Chest Foundation of India conducted a street play at Palli Village Primary School premises in connection with World TB Day. Seminar on Tuberculosis

A Seminar was conducted by the Chest Foundation of India at Breeze Hotel. In the morning the speakers included Dr. Rajeshwari who spoke on Current Issues in Diagnosis & Management of TB from a public health point of view, Dr. Sowmya who spoke on Managing TB in Children, Dr. Nalini Krishnan also spoke on the occasion. This was followed by panel discussion.

This year too for World TB Day – CFI conducted a Street Play at Palli Elementary School, Palli. The objective was to raise awareness about the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of TB.

Health Survey

April, 2009

A Survey was conducted by Omayal Achi College of Nursing covering Irumbanthangal and 10 neighbourhood villages. It was a screening survey for the prevalence of respiratory diseases in some villages in Kanchipuram district. 3889 residents were questioned and examined for various diseases and a database developed for their health care.
